A cat has been reunited with her owners after she was found 140 miles away from her home.
Two-year-old Nutmeg disappeared from her home in Coombe Dingle, Bristol, at the end of September.
She was returned two weeks later after staff found her at a supermarket in Crewe, Cheshire.
Nutmeg’s owners William Earp and Martha Street said it was a “huge relief” to have their “mischievous and curious” cat back home.
“It feels so wonderful to have her home, she was tired and subdued, but welcoming cuddles which was all we wanted,” they added.
Animal rescue charity CAFO returned Nutmeg home after scanning her microchip and getting in touch with the owners.
Rachel Griffiths from the charity said: “It was probably one of the best reunions we’ve ever had.”
“I think astounded isn’t strong enough to describe how we all felt,” she added.
