Sister of George Santos Settles Housing Claim, Must Pay $19,525 in Overdue Rent

Friday, the sister of Representative George Santos (R-NY) settled a dramatic lawsuit seeking her eviction for two years of missed rent payments. The trap? She missed these payments while making five-figure political contributions for her brother. According to the settlement, Tiffany Lee Devolder Santos must now pay her former landlord $1,000 per month through October 2024 to cover a total of $19,525 in unpaid rent since March 2020. The agent was observed moving into the flat in December 2022 but claimed to have been out by January 2. Significantly, the candidate stated on the campaign trail that he was a landlord annoyed by non-paying tenants. Santos has faced eviction on at least three occasions.
