Hofstra To Make At Least Six National Television Appearances


Hempstead, NY – Fans of the Hofstra men’s basketball team will have ample opportunities to see the Pride on national television this season as Hofstra will make at least six national television appearances. 

The Coastal Athletic Association announced its CBS Sports Network package today and the Pride will play four conference games on CBS Sports Network. 

In non-conference play, the Pride will make two national television appearances. 

Hofstra’s first nationally-televised game will be on December 12 at Duke when they face the Blue Devils on ESPN 2. On December 30, Hofstra and St. John’s will air on FS1 from UBS Arena. 

Once the conference season hits, Hofstra will take on Northeastern in Boston on January 11. The Long Island Rivalry will get a national television audience on January 22 when the Pride travels east to face Stony Brook. On February 3, Hofstra will host Towson on CBS Sports Network and the February 22 contest at home against Drexel will also air nationally. 

Late in the regular season and CAA Championship could see additional games on CBS Sports Network. The final day of the regular season (March 2) will be a Wild Card pick with the selection made in February. In addition, CBS Sports Network will air both semifinals on March 11 and the CAA Championship Game on March 12. 

Additional television appearances, including Hofstra’s package with MSG Networks, will be announced in the near future.
