DeRIDDER, La. (KPLC) – The Beauregard Health System hosted its second annual Wellness Without Walls event in DeRidder.

Community partners gathered with the public at the War Memorial Civic Center, providing free food, drinks, and door prizes.

The goal of the event is to minimize health disparities and gaps throughout the community by offering health screenings and education.

“We all benefit from having a healthy community, because even though we do treat chronic diseases, you don’t want your community to have chronic diseases,” said Dr. Christian Armetta. “So, we want to educate our community to those disease processes. So it’s all about education.”

The Wellness Without Walls event allows the community to view Beauregard Health’s services in one accessible location.
