JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — Preparations are underway for the 37th Annual Greek Food Fest at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville.
With the festival just being 2 months away, parishioners have been cooking and baking homemade Greek delicacies for the past few weeks.
Longtime Greek Fest representative Angie Mahfood says not only does the festival help the church fundraise, but it brings the community together.
“It does help the church, but everything works out very, very well for us in the end,” Mahfood said. “It’s a lot of fun, it’s a lot of work. But it’s enjoyable, and we love doing it every year.”
The festival is set for June 12-14 on South 4th Street, where you can enjoy a slice of Greece and take in the culture in Steubenville’s downtown.
