Martha Stewart Shines in a ‘Sparkly Suit’ Covered in Sequins at Glitzy New York Fashion Gala

Martha Stewart is shining bright in sequins once again!

The lifestyle mogul, 82, brought another dazzling number to the red carpet while attending the Fashion Group International’s 39th Annual Night of Stars Gala in New York City on Tuesday.

Stewart wore a white sequin bouclé suit complete with a boxy blazer adorned with a flower appliqué on the shoulder and wide-leg jumpsuit. She rounded out the set with metallic peep-toe shoes, dramatic hanging earrings and a tan bag.

The sparkly two-piece was made by designer Dennis Basso, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event from Stewart herself.

“I was asked by the inimitable @dennisbasso to present him with the first award of the night,” the author and businesswoman wrote on Instagram. “He has had a storied career dressing the fanciest of ladies, including movie stars and First Ladies, as well as millions of others who were able to purchase his designs on @qvc for the past 30 years!”

Stewart has supported her tastemaker friend from the front row plenty of times and last September she even accompanied him on the catwalk for the finale of his New York Fashion Week show.

However, in a clip included in her Instagram post featuring snaps from the glitzy evening, she teased she’s “never had a sparkly suit by Dennis Basso before” while linking arms with the designer.

A fan of timeless fashion, Stewart recently stepped out in a getup that paid homage to Audrey Hepburn for a brunch at the Blue Box Café located inside Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship store.

She honored the late actress in a Holly Golightly-inspired outfit featuring a black Hermès long-sleeve dress with peplum sleeves, a chic up-do decorated with a bejeweled hairpin, sunglasses and a Miriam Haskell statement necklace and  pearl-drop earrings.

She also proved to be a pro dresser at the Hudson River Park 25th Anniversary Gala this past weekend, nailing the event’s silver dress code in a metallic gown complete with a sexy thigh-high slit designed by Andy Chia Yu.

“Fun to dress up every now and then,” she captioned a seductive snap shared to Instagram.
