• Sunday evening … at the Ross opera house: Miss Kate Eddy, Alexander Hume and other noted spiritual mediums, will give an entertainment … (an) open seance, as presented by her before the leading scientific societies of (Europe). Miss Eddy was by them subjected to the most crucial test conditions.
