In a round of sad news, Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli died at 83. The fashion designer left a gaping hole in the world of fashion. Many designers and actors have shared their heartfelt condolences. His fashion brand bearing his name announced the news on Instagram with a note.

Roberto Cavalli dies at 83

Sharing a note on Instagram, his official brand page posted, “It is with great sadness that today we say our final goodbyes to our founder Roberto Cavalli. From humble beginnings in Florence Roberto succeeded in becoming a globally recognised name loved and respected by all. Naturally talented and creative, Roberto believed that everyone can discover and nurture the artist within themselves. Roberto Cavalli’s legacy will live on via his creativity, his love of nature and via his family who he cherished.”

A part of the caption read, “Dear Roberto, you may not be physically here with us anymore but I know I will feel your spirit with me always. It is the greatest honour of my career to work under your legacy and to create for the brand you founded with such vision and style. Rest in peace you will be missed and you are loved by so many that your name will continue on, a beacon of inspiration for others, and especially for me” says Fausto Puglisi, Creative Director at Roberto Cavalli since October 2020.”

Condolences pour in for the designer

Victoria Beckham posted a picture with the late designer and wrote, “So sorry to hear sad news of Roberto’s passing. He’ll forever be an icon,” Supermodel Heidi Klum uploaded a photo with Roberto Cavalli and wrote, “I miss you, Roberto Cavalli.”
Jennifer Hudson also posted her pictures and wrote, “Roberto Cavalli was always one of my favourite designers. A true artist in every sense of the word ! He made the world a more beautiful place and will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace!”
