April 12, 2024 – On Tuesday, April 9, the Maury County Fire Department responded to a reported head-on collision on Dry Creek Rd near the Lawrence County Line.

Crews arrived on the scene to find an occupant heavily entrapped. Hydraulic tools were used to remove the door, roof, and push the dash.

One patient was transported by Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to VUMC in critical condition, supplemented by Vanderbilt LifeFlight crew who were unable to fly due to weather.

This was the 10th vehicle extrication of the year for MCFD.
