CBS Sports To Broadcast Four Lehigh Basketball Games


BETHLEHEM, Pa. – As the 2023-24 basketball season steadily approaches, the Patriot League has announced its annual slate of games to be broadcast on CBS Sports as part of the league’s recent contract extension with the network.

Lehigh men’s basketball will play on national television at Colgate on January 22 at 7 p.m., at Holy Cross on January 27 at 12 p.m. and at Bucknell on February 12 at 7 p.m. Lehigh women’s basketball will play one nationally televised game at Colgate as part of a doubleheader with the men on January 22 at 4 p.m.
 
The men’s team posted a record of 16-14 last season, finishing third in the Patriot League standings. The Mountain Hawks return 2022-23 All-League selections Keith Higgins Jr. and Tyler Whitney-Sidney to a team that was picked to finish second in the league ahead of this season. Both Higgins and Whitney-Sydney were named to the Preseason All-Patriot League team this year.

The women’s team put up a 17-14 record in 2022-23 and entered the Patriot League tournament as the #3 seed. The Mountain Hawks return All-Rookie Team selection Lily Fandre among eight other returners and welcome six newcomers to the program. The team was picked to finish in fourth place ahead of the 2023-24 season.
 
The Patriot League enters into its 21st consecutive year in partnership with CBS Sports Network, which is widely available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV and Hulu. Two men’s basketball flex games are on the schedule, the league also announced this morning. The first will take place on February 25 at 2 p.m. while the second will be played on March 2 at 12 p.m.

Both the men’s and women’s Patriot League Championships will be aired on CBS Sports, with the semifinals of the men’s tournament to be aired by the network as well. The men’s semifinals and championship will take place on March 10 and March 13 respectively while the women’s championship is set to occur on March 17.
 
Both programs kick off their seasons on November 6 at home for a doubleheader at Stabler Arena. The women will get things started with a tilt against East Stroudsburg at 5 p.m. followed by the men’s game against Cornell at 7 p.m.
