Ho-Ho-Ho. Home moves to the forefront in Kohl’s holiday reset

Menomonee Falls, Wis. – Kohl’s is rolling out a new front-of-store experience for the holiday season focused on gifting and holiday home décor.

The retailer is increasing the amount of upfront space overall, filling it with seasonal products and trends. Nearby, a curated home décor section features hard and soft home décor from Kohl’s St. Nicholas Square collection.

The expanded assortment of home décor is primarily stocked with items priced under $30. Featured products include unique and on-trend tabletop decor, barware, throws and more. Additional home assortments include seasonal bedding, holiday trim, floorcare and cookware.

At the entrance to the store, a new Gift Shop features products for members of the family. Gift merchandisers continue throughout the store with priced-right products in every category as well as stocking stuffers items.

Beyond the holiday season, Kohl’s is banking on new assortments in gifting, home décor, impulse items and pet to boost its home and non-apparel sales.

During the first 6-month fiscal period, ended July 29, Kohl’s home segment sales fell below $1 billion for the first time since the company began breaking out segment performance in it quality 10-Q forms in 2017.
