RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 19, 2023) – The final weekend of CAA Women’s Soccer highlights the upcoming schedule, while pivotal league matchups await in a host of other sports.
 
Women’s Soccer
Four teams – Hofstra, Towson, Monmouth, and Northeastern – have earned their spots in the six-team CAA Championship that begins next Thursday, with five more – William & Mary, Stony Brook, UNCW, Campbell, and Delaware – in contention for the final two.
 
A single point on the weekend is all the Tribe needs to clinch and they will get two opportunities at home, but against two of the top four in the league standings, hosting Towson on Thursday (7 p.m., FloFC) and Northeastern on Sunday (12 p.m.). Stony Brook’s lone game remaining is in Brookline on Thursday with a trip to Northeastern (6 p.m., FloFC), while UNCW heads north to play Drexel on Thursday (6 p.m., FloFC) and Delaware on Sunday (1 p.m., FloFC). The Blue Hens will host Hampton on Thursday (6 p.m., FloFC) and Campbell welcomes in Elon on Thursday (7 p.m.) before taking a trip to Monmouth on Sunday (1 p.m., NBC Sports Philadelphia, FloFC).
 
The top four in the regular season standings are all in contention for the top seed and the team whose schedule holds the most impact is the league leader, Hofstra. The Pride hits the road to play Monmouth on Thursday (6 p.m., NBC Sports Philadelphia, FloFC) and Towson on Sunday (1 p.m., FloFC). | Weekend Schedule  
 
Men’s Soccer
Homecoming festivities on Long Island provide a Friday matinee, as first-place Stony Brook will host a Monmouth side aiming to clinch its first appearance in the CAA Championship (1 p.m., FloFC).
 
Every team begins the weekend in contention for the six-team tournament that begins November 2, making all four league games crucial battles. Elon will visit Charleston (1 p.m., FloFC), Delaware heads to UNCW (2 p.m., FloFC), Drexel makes a trip to Hofstra (7 p.m., FloFC), and William & Mary will take on Campbell (7 p.m.), while Northeastern will utilize its bye week to host Rutgers (2 p.m., NESN+, FloFC). | Weekend Schedule  
 
Volleyball
CAA Volleyball gets underway earlier than usual this week as William & Mary hosts North Carolina A&T on Thursday and Friday. The weekend continues Saturday and Sunday with key matchups, including a battle of second-place teams – Campbell and Northeastern – and Delaware hosting Hofstra, who are separated by one game in the conference standings. In addition, Towson looks to stay in first place, entertaining Stony Brook in a rematch of last year’s CAA Quarterfinal matchup, while Charleston hosts Elon and UNCW travels to Hampton. Nine matches can be seen this weekend on FloVolleyball, while Delaware’s Sunday bout with Hofstra will be televised locally on Delmarva Sports Network. | Weekend Schedule
 
Field Hockey
It’s the penultimate weekend of CAA Field Hockey, and we could learn a lot about the conference tournament field come Friday. Monmouth clinched its spot in the CAA Championship last weekend, and entering the week, six teams are battling for the final three spots; however, the field can be decided by the end of the night Friday. Drexel and William & Mary can clinch berths to the CAA Tournament with wins, while Northeastern secures its bid with a win and a Delaware loss. 
 
On Friday, the action begins at 3 p.m., with Northeastern hosting Hofstra (NESN, FloLive) before Drexel entertains Delaware (FloLive) and Monmouth visits William & Mary (FloLive) at 4 p.m. The weekend continues on Sunday with five non-conference matches, two of which will be on FloLive. | Weekend Schedule  
 
Swimming & Diving
Friday’s action is highlighted by UNCW’s visit from North Carolina (2 p.m., FloSwimming) in one of seven competitions against ACC and/or SEC foes for the Seahawks this season, while Towson takes a trip down to Old Dominion (3 p.m.).
 
On Saturday, Delaware opens its home slate by hosting Yale (12 p.m., FloSwimming), Towson and William & Mary meet in a conference clash in Williamsburg (11 a.m.), while Monmouth welcomes in Fordham (12 p.m.), and Drexel will take the short trip to La Salle (10 a.m.).
 
Golf
On the men’s side, Hofstra will play a pair of tournaments in the upcoming week, taking part in the Lehigh Invitational (Fri/Sat) – where the Pride will be joined by Monmouth and Towson – before a Long Island battle at the LIU Nassau Intercollegiate (Mon/Tue). Campbell and William & Mary will visit Furman (Sun/Mon), while Drexel – fresh off its fourth-straight City Championship – travels to the Outer Banks for the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate (Sun-Tue).
 
In women’s competition, Delaware hosts the Lady Blue Hen Invitational in Rehoboth Beach (Sat/Sun) and will be joined by William & Mary, Campbell heads to Savannah for The Southern (Mon/Tue), Elon will head over to Spartanburg for Wofford’s event (Mon/Tue), and Monmouth will follow its men’s squad with two days in the Lehigh Valley (Mon/Tue).
