The goal of USU’s Utah Assistive Technology Program is to put assistive technology into the hands of people who need it — and by doing so helping to promote their independence while remaining affordable. Student journalist Anna Johnson recently featured this work by speaking with a technician about how they repair, rebuild, or custom develop solutions for people. She also spoke with someone who is both a client and volunteer with UATP to see how this program can be helpful to the community.
UATP’s website is a good resource for those seeking to learn more, and Utah State Magazine also recently featured this service.
Utah State Today regularly highlights work created by the talented student journalists at Utah State University. The following story was published on AggieTVNews prior to its inclusion in Utah State Today.
