“At Vancouver Fashion Week, diversity is our greatest strength. We bring together the most incredible design talent from across Canada and worldwide, presenting the most forward-thinking creative concepts to the industry,” Jamal Abdourahman, event founder, said in a news release. “Fashion is a truly global phenomenon, and it’s inspiring to see such a strong mix of designers all under one roof here in Vancouver.”
The selection of shows, which are open to the public with tickets priced from $50, will feature a range of designs, from “avant-garde couture to street-wear trends,” according to event organizers. Student designers from local design programs at La Salle College and Vancouver Community College are also set to participate in the upcoming fashion event.
