Dwayne Johnson Surprises UFC Fighter with Real-Life Superhero

The Rock Dwayne Johnson likes to surprise people.

The actor from “Jungle Cruise” went on Instagram and shared a video about giving UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo, who had been sleeping at a Miami gym, an apartment.

Themba has been a fan of The Rock for a long time. Last week, The Rock flew to Florida to meet Themba, look him in the eye, “hug him, and shake his hand.”

The Black Adam wrote in a touching post that Themba had only $7 in the bank when he won a recent UFC fight. After that, he sold his fight gear and made $7,000.

The Rock said last week, “Instead of using the money to find a place to live, he built a bush pump so his village back in Zimbabwe can have clean water. He never asked me for anything, but I just wanted to help the guy out. $7 Bucks ya know.”

Then, on Thursday, Dwayne, who is 51 years old, released a touching YouTube video in which he gave Themba a new home. Themba was visibly shocked and moved by the video.

At the beginning of the video, Dwayne surprised Themba at the gym by sneaking up behind him and then showing himself.

Dwayne gave Themba the key to his flat and told him, “Welcome home.” He also gave him another bear hug.

The Rock also recently gave what is said to be a seven-figure sum to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Emergency Financial Assistance Program for its strike members.

Cyd Wilson, who is in charge of the foundation, told Variety, “It’s the largest single donation that we’ve ever received from one individual at one time.”
