DAVISON, Mich. (WJRT) – Davison High School’s auto tech students received a Ford Mustang on Wednesday from Ford Motor Company and Milnes Ford in Lapeer.

The Mustang was donated to the program.

The students received the 2024 model with an eco-boost engine with a sticker price of around $41,000. The vehicle joins a Buick Grand National in the classroom.

“It is important to have something this new and this updated because the automotive world is changing so fast,” says Davison High School automotive technology teacher Miles Luebke. “It’s important that students have relevant things to work on. As cool as it is to work on older stuff, it is more helpful to have the new stuff around for the kids to wrench on.”

Milnes Ford also talked with students about jobs in the auto tech industry. There are about 70 students that make up the school’s auto tech program at Davison High School.
