ABILENE, Tx — It’s spooky season again and that means people are thinking about candy and fall festivals.
With more than a dozen events around Abilene in the week leading up to Halloween, you can be sure your trick-or-treater won’t come home empty-handed!
Wednesday, October 25
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Southern Hills Church of Christ Trunk or Treat at 3666 Buffalo Gap Rd. Church members will decorate their cars and pass out candy. The event is free.
6:30 p.m. Zion Lutheran Church Trunk or Treat at 2801 Antilley Rd. There will be food, pumpkin launching, and games.
Thursday, October 26
5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Abilene Police Dept. is hosting Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of the station at 4565 S. First. First responders, law enforcement, and other community members and organizations will be there. The event is free and open to the public. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and get candy. Parents or guardians must accompany their child.
Friday, October 27
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Pediatric Associates is hosting Trunk or Treat inside the north office at 1850 Hickory.
Saturday, October 28
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wylie Baptist Church is hosting its Family Fall Fest at 6097 Buffalo Gap Rd. There will be games, a car show, inflatables, and more. The event is free to attend.
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Abilene Zoo is hosting its final weekend of Boo at the Zoo at 2070 Zoo Ln. There will be live shows, a hay bale maze, candy, and animal encounters. This event is $12 for everyone ages 3 and up or free for zoo members.
12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Allen Ridge Fall Fest will include an artisan and handmade market, live music, a fashion show, and other family activities. This event is free to attend and will be located at 2417 N Judge Ely Blvd.
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Drug Emporium’s Trunk or Treat at 2550 Barrow St. will include a contest for the best decorated trunk. The winner will receive a $100 gift card to Drug Emporium. Contact the store via Facebook or Instagram to enter your vehicle.
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wisteria Place Trunk or Treat will include food and drinks, games, and a costume contest. This event is located at 3401 S 32nd St.
4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Aldersgate Abilene Methodist Church’s Trunk or Treat at 1741 Sayles Blvd.
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Team Chip Martial Arts Trunk or Treat at 2218 S 14th St.
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Express ER Abilene Trunk or Treat at 4157 Buffalo Gap Rd.
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Southwest Park Baptist Church Fall Fest at 2901 S 20th St. There will be games, candy, and live music. This event is free to attend.
6 p.m. Abilene State Park’s Halloween in the Park. Located at 150 Park Road 32 in Tuscola, there will be campsites decorated for trick-or-treaters. This event is free to attend but campers must reserve a campsite at 512-389-8900 to decorate and pass out candy.
Sunday, October 29th
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Abilene Zoo is hosting its final weekend of Boo at the Zoo at 2070 Zoo Ln. There will be live shows, a hay bale maze, candy, and animal encounters. This event is $12 for everyone ages 3 and up or free for zoo members.
6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Downtown Tattoo Trunk or Treat at 3534 N 6th St.
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. YMCA of Abilene’s Halloween Party at the Y located at 3125 S 32nd St. There will be bounce houses, games, music, and a costume contest. This event is free to attend and
Monday, October 30th
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Lee Orthodontics Fall Festival at 3002 S Clack St. This event is free to attend. There will be music, face painting, May Farms Petting Zoo, as well as other vendors. The first 300 guests are entered in a drawing for free braces.
6 p.m. Mall-O-Ween 2023 at 4310 Buffalo Gap Rd. There will be games, candy, and a costume contest. This event is free to attend.
Tuesday, October 31st
5 p.m. Matera Grill October Bash at 833 S. First St. This event is free and there will be face painting, a pumpkin patch, bounce houses, and other family activities.
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Church on the Rock is hosting its Harvest Festival at 1228 Grape St. There will be candy, games, and food. This event is free to attend and open to everyone in the community.
