LE MOYNE EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH FOX SPORTS RADIO TO CARRY BASKETBALL BROADCASTS – Le Moyne College Athletics

Syracuse, N.Y. – For the third straight year, Le Moyne College’s men’s and women’s basketball broadcasts will be heard across Central New York on commercial radio.

Thanks to a partnership announced by Le Moyne Assistant Vice President of Athletics & Recreation Bob Beretta two years ago, all Le Moyne regular season and postseason men’s and women’s basketball games were broadcast in the Syracuse area on FOX Sports Radio the last two seasons. It marked the first time in school history that Le Moyne’s men’s and women’s full schedules were carried on commercial radio.

On Friday, Beretta announced the partnership with FOX Sports Radio has been extended another year.

“We couldn’t be more excited to extend our partnership to broadcast our entire schedule of men’s and women’s basketball games on the networks of FoxFur and Cram Communications,” said Beretta. “We took great pride in being the leader in this broadcast space the past two years in the Northeast-10 Conference and we are thrilled to hold a similar position as new members of Division I and the Northeast Conference.

“I’d like to thank station manager Sam Furco for making this arrangement possible and providing another signal to our teams in light of our new basketball scheduling format. We value the exposure these broadcasts provide our institution and our athletic program. With the added reach via the TuneIn app, the Le Moyne basketball brand now truly stretches globally.”

For the third straight season, all men’s games will appear on FOX Sports Radio. Women’s games during the month of November will also appear on FOX Sports Radio and will transition to WSIV 106.3FM/1540AM in December. In addition, all men’s and women’s games will available on the TuneIn app for each of the stations.

The Le Moyne men’s team is led by fifth-year head coach Nate Champion, while the Dolphin women’s team is headed by third-year head coach Mary Grimes. The Le Moyne women’s team opens its 2023-24 season at Colorado State University on November 6, while the men’s team will get underway the next day at Georgetown University.

Longtime Le Moyne basketball radio voices Chris Granozio ’86 and Don Familo ’86 return to call the men’s action throughout the season, while Tim McCaffrey will be on the call for the women’s games.
