Bad Bunny poked fun at Harry Styles during his big headlining set at Coachella on Friday. He showed a tweet from a fan that compared the two artists’ styles of music.
Bad Bunny showed a tweet on the screen while playing “El Apagón,” a fan favorite from his latest album “Un Verano Sin Ti.” The tweet was about him and Harry Styles.
“goodnight benito could do as it was, but harry could never do el apagon,” it read.
The now-deleted tweet lauded Bad Bunny’s adaptability while suggesting that Styles was incapable of writing “El Apagón,” a song that Bad Bunny had previously performed.
This follows the 2023 Grammy Award for Album of the Year being given to Styles rather than Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti.”
Bad Bunny began his Coachella show with a video that paid tribute to past headliners like Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and The Weeknd. However, Harry Styles was left out of the video, which was an interesting choice. Even though Styles, Eilish, and The Weeknd were the headliners at the festival the year before.
In a first for Spanish-language albums, the Puerto Rican singer’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” was nominated for album of the year at the Grammy Awards.
Bad Bunny is known for his unique mix of Latin trap and reggaeton music and for adding parts of other genres to his music.
