Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Stay at ITA Regionals


LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Saint Joseph’s women’s tennis team concluded its play at the ITA Regional Championships on Saturday on the campus of Liberty University.
 
Charlotte Kordonowy competed in the main draw, falling to Maria Budin of Maryland in her first-round match on Friday.  She then battled back to force a supertiebreaker in a consolation match against Tiziana Rossini of VCU before succumbing in the breaker on Saturday afternoon.
 
On the doubles side, Kordonowy teamed with Victoria Tracey while Ireland Amato partnered with Sophia Amato in the first round of the main draw; both pairs suffered 8-5 defeats.
