The first ever “Yonkers Fall Arts Festival” got underway in the city on Saturday, featuring live art demos, music and food.
Ray Wilcox, executive director of Yonkers Arts, said the free event aims to expand Yonkers’ arts and culture scene.
Wilcox added that the Carpet Mills Arts District has much to offer as a wonderful center for the arts that also serves as home base to more than 100 artists.
News 12’s Carol Wilkinson spoke with Wilcox about plans to make it an annual event and complementary part of the Yonkers Arts Weekend.
