Celine Dion, the pop superstar who revealed last year that she was afflicted with a rare neurological illness that was hurting her vocals, announced the release of new music on Thursday.

The new record Love Again is the soundtrack for a movie with the same name. It has five new songs and some of the artist’s biggest hits from the past.

The 55-year-old Canadian Dion’s last record was Courage, which came out in 2019.

“I had a lot of fun doing this movie. And to have the privilege of appearing with the beautiful and talented actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a gift that I will cherish forever. I think it’s a wonderful feel-good story, and I hope that people will like it, and like the new songs, too,” Dion said in a statement.

On May 5, the love comedy by director Jim Strouse will be shown in theaters.

After a recent diagnosis of Stiff-Person Syndrome, which meant she would not be ready to begin a European tour in February as scheduled, Dion shared an emotional video on Instagram in December to break the news.

She said that the disorder caused muscle cramps and kept her from being able to sing the way she was used to.

The Courage World Tour started in 2019, and Dion had already done 52 shows when the COVID-19 virus stopped the rest.

She later had to cancel the North American part of the show because she was sick.

Her European spring dates, which were supposed to start in the Czech Republic, have been moved to 2024, and eight of her summer shows have been completely canceled.

This was supposed to be the Grammy winner’s first world tour in ten years, and the first one without her husband and manager Rene Angelil, who died of cancer in 2016.
