Twelve days after a terrible earthquake devastated Turkey, a Turkish couple was rescued from the ruins of their apartment building. Unfortunately, their 12-year-old son, who was also recovered alive from the debris, passed away shortly thereafter, and two of their other children were discovered dead at the scene. Throughout the 12-day ordeal, Samir Muhammad Accar drank his own pee, according to local media sources published by the Associated Press. The report states, “For the first two or three days, his children responded to his voice, but he never heard from them again.” More than 45,000 people have died as a result of the disaster to date.
