Steph Curry has played at the Chase Center many times in front of a full house, but he hasn’t been a surprise guest there as often. The Golden State Warriors were not the big attraction at their usual home court on Monday night. Instead, a lot of people were at a Paramore show. But at some point during the show, the band’s lead singer, Hayley Williams, asked Steph to join her on stage.
Curry, on the other hand, wasn’t just there to get some praise. Instead, when the band started playing their 2007 hit “Misery Business,” he took the stage with a microphone to let the crowd hear his strong voice.
“I watched his wildest dreams come true, not one of them involving you. Just watched my wildest dreams come true, not one of them involving…”
Even though I could make a joke about Steph singing about Kevin Durant, it would be more fun to watch video of Curry’s performance.
Many players have enjoyed going on stage as musical entertainers, and many of them are better at music than Curry. Curry, however, didn’t hold back. Even in the short 90-second film, Curry’s friendly and lively personality comes through.
Here’s a video of Steph being amazed by Williams on his birthday in 2018 in case anyone thinks Curry just learned a Paramore song to go with his long media tour to push the new documentary Underrated on Apple TV about his life.
