SEMA Show Panel to Discuss Alternate Fuel Technology

The 2023 SEMA Show will host a panel discussion about the future of alternative fuels technology on Thursday, November 2. The discussion, titled “The Future of Automotive Fuel Technology,” is set for 3 p.m. in the North Hall (Room N258).

The panel will provide a comprehensive look at alternative fuels, and topics will span the spectrum from understanding alternative fuel definitions and manufacturing processes to their application in the automotive sector. CNN contributor and PBS program host, Margaret Hoover, will guide the panel.

“Alternative fuels will shape the future of global mobility. We are fortunate to have Margaret Hoover’s insight steering this critical dialogue with industry leaders,” said Pamela Brown-Matthis, SEMA director of education.

Luis Morales, SEMA director of vehicle technology, added: “SEMA’s approach to future propulsion is technology neutral. We have members leading in advanced technology systems such as hydrogen, biofuels, synthetics, and EV. This discussion is essential to provide clarity on current industry movements and the innovative strides in alternative fuel technology.”

The panelists for the discussion include:

  • Michael Boe, vp and gm, Global Aftermarket at BorgWarner Emission, Thermal, and Turbo Systems.
  • Elaina Farnsworth, CEO of SkillFusion, focused on expanding a certified talent pool for electric vehicle charging.
