Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned writer K P Ramanunni has been selected for the 31st S K Pottekkatt Memorial Literature Award instituted by the S K Pottekkatt Award Committee. He has won recognition for his collection of stories titled ‘’Haindavam’. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a sculpture and citation.
The other winners include Akbar Alikara (Story-Chilyakatha Palli), Abhishek Pallatheri (Afrikayude Verukal), Sivas Vazhamuttom (Poem-Pularikum Munpe), Dr S D Anil Kumar (Children’s Literature: Abhilash Mohan 8A), B N Roy (Novel-Kurien Kadavu) and Krishnakumar Krishnajeevanam (Article: Athmoupadeshashathakam Oru Upanishad Darpanam).
The award committee members released the names in a press conference. Augustine Ajith has won the children’s award.
