Car strike injures one person and dog, causing canine to bite two others in downtown Austin


One person and a dog was injured after being struck by a car in downtown Austin which led to the dog biting two other people in the area late Sunday night.

Austin-Travis County EMS tweeted about the double auto-pedestrian incident along with a dog around 10:45 p.m. that took place on San Jacinto and E 8th Street.

ATCEMS says at least one person and a dog were struck by a car. That person was taken to Dell Seton with potentially serious injuries.

At least two other people were bitten by the dog, they refused transport by ATCEMS.

It’s unclear if the dog was seriously injured.
