A 21-year-old British man known only as Alexander was arrested in Thailand for allegedly leaving an Italian restaurant a number of fake one-star reviews. The owner of the restaurant says Alexander passed through instead of using the public road, and was not a paying customer. Shortly after booting him out, the restaurant’s Google rating fell from 4.8 to just over 3. Alexander faces up to two years in jail “for entering false information into a computer system in a way that is likely to cause damage to others but which is not an offense of defamation according to the Criminal Code.” (Oddity Central)
