It was found that 89 per cent of Indian organisations currently have employees facing challenges driving innovation, even as 72 per cent businesses say innovation is a key part of their strategy. “With less than one in three organisations currently basing their innovative efforts on data, there exists an opportunity to work towards a futureready technology strategy,” Anil Sethi, vice-president, infrastructure solutions group, Dell Technologies India, told ET.
With regards to gen AI, 41 per cent of Indian businesses feel the pace of its adoption has been too quick, which has given rise to a number of challenges for decision makers, business owners and employees, he added.

For successful innovation, what is needed is for businesses and IT decision makers to be aligned to act on highimpact opportunities, maximisation of data insights and embracing human-machine partnerships, he said.

“Indian businesses have a pivotal role to play in the digital era as we look at the future of work… Gen AI is the most significant technological advancement in decades, and there is a massive opportunity to accelerate innovation by integrating this into data strategy. However, to fully capitalise on this opportunity, a properly-sized, secure and responsible strategy is crucial,” said Sethi.
