Ever opened up your closet on a Monday morning and shut it quickly to the utter chaos reigning within? Us, too. No matter how many times you rearrange your clothes, they just seem to come undone, and you end up grabbing the first thing you see to wear to work or college. For those looking for a makeover of their personal style (and wardrobe), Indyx is quite handy. Functioning as a virtual closet, the app allows you to click pictures of outfits, upload them, and suggests styling options with accessories and footwear. If you can’t be bothered to click pictures one-by-one, you can add links to the site where you bought your clothes from. There’s also a Wardrobe Stats section where you can see how much of your closet you’re using and how much is untouched, and tips on how to elevate your personal style.

For the amateur animator

We stumbled upon a rather cool find whilst bored-scrolling: An app that lets you animate drawings. It’s an offshoot of Picsart, the photo-editing application. The user interface is simple; You draw the image frame-by-frame on blank frames, layering each subsequent image over the other. It’s great for those who want to understand the basics of animation (or for social media addicts who want to craft their own GIFs).

The app also has a few free built-in animations to get you started. You can also take pictures with your phone and layer them over each other to create a GIF. We tried animating a balloon that pops, and with a few tries, got a nice five-second animation.

Vintage beauty

Elegant flower vases, crystal chandeliers, and floral tablecloths… Merci Dehradun is a haven for those who love sprucing up their homes. The vintage home decor website has these graceful porcelain blue egret figurines, which you can use to amp up a mantlepiece or a table-corner. We love the large red flamingo figurines as well, which are the perfect accessory for a study room or a garden. Their range of decorative items—marble busts and temple jars—are reminiscent of Greek temples and Greco-roman aesthetics. They also have tea sets for different groups of people, and quirky themed dinner sets, like the cabbage range.

Flashing in style

Indian aunties who make eyes at you when your bra strap is peeking out now will be “shick, shack, shock” as the meme goes. Local Nation’s beaded bra straps allow you to flaunt errant straps with style. Their range of funky accessorized straps include a version made of pearls, colourful, funky beads, and metallic silver hearts. The length of the straps are available as per regular size ranges, so you’ll have to choose carefully—the straps cannot be adjusted. It’s the perfect accessory to glam up a saree or an off-the-shoulder outfit. We also love the idea of pairing the straps with a plain tank top or tube top for a funky twist.
