EXCLUSIVE: Jennifer Meyer Releases First Men’s Jewelry Collection for Father’s Day

Jennifer Meyer is entering the men’s jewelry category.

The Los Angeles-based jewelry designer is making her first official entry into the men’s category with a collection releasing Tuesday that celebrates Father’s Day. The collection offers pendant necklaces and signet rings ranging in price from $3,850 to $5,500.

“It just felt like the right time to try it out,” Meyer said about entering men’s jewelry. “But, I also wanted to make sure that it was intentional, that I really loved the pieces that I was doing, that it was really part of the Jennifer Meyer collection and that it didn’t feel random. I had been wanting to do it for so many years, and just decided to pull the trigger.”

“It’s interesting because I’m so used to designing with women in mind and a specific woman in mind that I was a little harder on myself in designing for men to be honest,” Meyer said. “I’m not a man, I don’t really know what men love to wear, so I went through different designs and different ideas and one of the main things I wanted to do was incorporate the good luck charm motif into the collection, so I wanted to come up with the perfect way to do that.”

Meyer expressed that while this is a men’s jewelry collection, the pieces can be considered unisex. She hopes to see women gravitate to the collection as well, and see all customers layer the pendants to their liking.

She explained she’s looking forward to seeing what the reception will be to the collection, and will plan accordingly on how to expand her brand’s men’s jewelry offerings.

Meyer launched her namesake jewelry label in 2005 after working in the fashion world for brands like Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani. Since launch, Meyer has been a finalist for the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund in 2012 and received a nomination for the CFDA Swarovski Award for Accessories Design in 2013.

She’s also expanded into apparel during her career. In 2015, the jewelry designer teamed with Barneys for her first ready-to-wear capsule collection of 12 fall pieces and later collaborated with Moose Knuckles on a collection in 2021. She currently operates out of a boutique in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
