Thailand aims to boost innovation, foster 10,000 new startups


BANGKOK — Thailand aims to cultivate 10,000 startups in fields like agriculture and medicine by the end of 2027 under an ambitious plan to spur corporate innovation.

“We will increase the number of innovative companies and improve the productivity of the Thai economy,” Krithpaka Boonfueng, executive director of the National Innovation Agency, told Nikkei in a recent interview.
