‘Pink Door House’ tour and more: Modernism Week announces new events for February 2024

Modernism Week’s signature February festival will return Feb. 15 – 25, 2024 — just in time for some dreamy Valentine’s Day excursions.

The 2024 event series will again highlight mid-century modern architecture, art, interior and landscape design and more in the greater Palm Springs area. According to a recent release from organizers, the 11-day festival will feature more than 350 events including the Palm Springs Modernism Show, tours of iconic homes in more than 35 communities, live shows, and numerous parties.

The festival’s beloved double-decker bus tours are back, but this year also features several new events for architecture fans of all ages. All events are open to the public and tickets go on sale at noon Wednesday, Nov. 1 at modernismweek.com. The event schedule may be previewed on the website starting Oct. 25 (but new events will likely be added throughout the fall).

“We are thrilled that Modernism Week is returning for its 19th year in Palm Springs,” said Modernism Week CEO Lisa Vossler Smith. “We are excited about the compelling new programs this year, including an emphasis on architect Albert Frey’s work. We have expanded our architectural bus tours, and will offer a variety of parties, educational talks, vintage fashion, and live music events. We are very pleased to be offering CAMP, our headquarters, again inside the Hyatt Palm Springs. We invite the public to join us for eleven amazing days of festivities.”
