KSVI/KHMT is looking for a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Your responsibilities as a MMJ will include shooting and editing video segments, writing creative scripts, uploading and embedding video, creating pages for website, social networking sites, mobile phones and television, as well as other responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Excellent technical skills with camera and editing software
• On air hosting and video recording
• Must be able to obtain and verify factual information regarding stories through interview, observation and research
• Organizes material and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards of specialized programming
• Writes and produces stories for multiple media platforms and posts to the web
• Flexible Scheduling
• Computer literacy required
• 4-6 stories posted per day
• Managing website, including sweepstakes and social platforms

Requirements and Skills:

• A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is preferred
• A minimum of 2 years experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with camera work in the field, not just studio work
• Experience with iNews or other production software
• Must be able to work well under pressure and daily deadlines
• Proficient at posting content to various websites
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• 1-2 years marketing experience a plus
• AP style writing skills
