For the second year in a row the Graves County Eagles and Ballard Memorial Bombers met in a battle for the Third District title. And, for the second year in a row, the Eagles have come out victorious in a 10-0 shutout over the Bombers to repeat as district champs.
Early offense propelled Graves County to what would end up being an early night, closing things up in five innings with a run-rule. Senior lefty Hayden Alexander earned the win and dominated the mound for the Eagles tossing out three hits, walking one and striking out four in a 63-38 pitch-strike county and 17 batters faced.
