There are not many better ways to open an opera season than with Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro.”

It’s funny, mischievous, scandalous, empathetic and unpredictable. And, Portland Opera will be staging it three times, Oct. 28 to Nov. 5 at Keller Auditorium.
