The expo is a must-attend event for European auto makers to stay current with evolving test and development processes.

Mark your calendars!

The premier automotive test and development event returns to Europe with over 330 exhibitors gathering at Messe Stuttgart. Attendees can also hear more than 60 speakers discussing the latest industry trends across two Technology Presentation Stages.

For those particularly interested in ADAS and autonomous vehicle technology, the expo features a dedicated section with 80 exhibitors and a conference with more than 90 speakers.

A new addition to the line-up is the Automotive Testing Technology International Awards Forum, celebrating industry achievements from the past year with panel discussions, fireside chats and an awards ceremony.

During three days of live demonstrations, attendees can explore topics ranging from the impact of AI to data fusion and higher-definition data.

While in Stuttgart, visitors can also explore automotive engineering and design history at the nearby Porsche Museum and Mercedes-Benz Museum.

Testing technologies galore

As the premier technology showcase of the testing industry, this free-to-attend exhibition will feature more than 330 exhibitors displaying their latest products and services.

Visitors will see the most up-to-date technologies in NVH measurement tools, test rigs, simulation packages, durability testing technologies, ADAS and autonomous vehicle testing, crash testing, dynamometers, emission measurement systems and dynamic assessment tools, as well as services like proving grounds and test facilities.

Spektra will showcase its customized solution for testing and calibrating knock sensors, developed to meet stringent FIA regulations. This solution features the CS Q-LEAP calibration system and the SE-09 high-frequency vibration exciter, which are designed to work together to ensure precise and accurate testing in compliance with FIA standards and Bosch specifications, to improve engine performance.

Rototest will be at the expo to talk about and exhibit its expanding range of powertrain dynamometer technology, including models designed for ADAS and university applications. It will feature the new Energy a62, which is ideal for high dynamic braking and AEB testing in ADAS, with the ability to handle individual wheel torques up to 4,000Nm and system powers up to 1.2MW. The company will also present the Energy u14 model, tailored for universities and educational institutions. This model, based on advanced technology but with fewer options and modules, is designed to be more accessible and budget-friendly.

Texys Group will display its range of solutions for measuring physical quantities, including pressure, load, temperature, current and inertia, using technologies such as infrared, fiber optics and wireless communication. Its subsidiary, Optel-Texys, will highlight the OF-C2T, an embedded tool for torque calculation that combines fiber-optic tachometers with a proprietary algorithm. Also on show will be fiber-optic angular velocity sensors designed for accuracy in analyzing complex rotating parts, and the embedded 152 G7-E, designed for in-vehicle measurement on land, at sea and in the air.

Dewesoft is set to introduce its latest innovations in data acquisition technology. Its featured product is the Obsidian high-end datalogger and embedded data acquisition system. This versatile system can function as a standalone datalogger, real-time control system and signal-conditioning front end, performing these tasks separately or simultaneously. It offers high-performance multichannel signal amplifiers for various sensors, including voltage, current, thermocouple, strain gauges and more. The Obsidian is designed for long-term vehicle tests and fleet applications, capable of running unattended for months. It can be monitored and controlled remotely via ethernet, wi-fi or a smartphone app. Additionally, Dewesoft will introduce the DC-CT current transducer, tailored for electric and hybrid vehicle tests.

At the Tectos booth, visitors can find out more about the company’s technologies for sustainable mobility, with a focus on customized solutions in NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) for powertrains in electric, hybrid and combustion engine test benches and vehicles. The company’s offerings include analysis, research, development and production services aimed at enhancing powertrain performance and sustainability.
