Wife’s ‘large male’ friend tased burglarizing husband’s car

A man accused of shacking up with another man’s wife and stowing meth in his car met the tail end of a cop’s taser Saturday night.

Maricopa Police Department arrested 37-year-old Samuel T. Finkley on five felony charges of burglary, drugs for sale, possessing dangerous drugs, narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police also slapped Finkley with a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.

Officers responded to West Sagebrush Road in Rancho El Dorado to help a man retrieve his car from his wife’s home. Unable to get the car keys, he called a tow truck.

Finkley and another unidentified man, tagged by cops as “large adult males,” stormed out of the house when the tow truck pulled up, according to the police report. Finkley “aggressively charged” toward two cops, who unholstered their guns.

Finkley shifted toward the caller’s car, unlocked it and started stealing items that were inside, according to police.

Police noted Finkley and “his accomplice” were “unarmed and more concerned with burglarizing the vehicle than attacking officers.”

One officer holstered his firearm in favor of his taser and told Finkley he was under arrest. Finkley ignored the officers’ commands and was tased and handcuffed.

The “accomplice” reached into the car and grabbed a bag containing an ounce of meth, a fentanyl pill and Finkley’s ID. He was also placed in cuffs but later released.

Finkley was booked into the Pinal County jail and faces 62 years in prison.
