After a short break, more Champions League action is set to kick off on Tuesday. PSV will hit the road to play their first game against Lens in the Group Stage at 3:00 p.m. ET at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. The winner and runner up of this group (Group B) will advance to the knockout phase, while the team finishing third will have one more chance in the Europa League.
On October 3rd, neither PSV nor Sevilla could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. PSV’s two goals came from Luuk de Jong and Jordan Teze, while Sevilla got theirs from Nemanja Gudelj and Youssef En-Nesyri.
Meanwhile, Lens took on Arsenal in the first leg of the Group Stage on October 3rd, and they were more than happy with the result. Lens sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Arsenal. The last goal Lens scored came from Elye Wahi in minute 69.
PSV’s draw left them with a 0-1-1 record. As for Lens, they now have a winning record of 1-1-0.
A win on Tuesday would put both of these teams one step closer to the European Cup. Which team gets closer to that lofty goal and which team falters?
Odds
Lens is the favorite in this one, according to the latest Champions League odds, being +133 to win.
The over/under is set at 2.5 goals.
