MORENO VALLEY, CA — At least four vehicles were involved in a multi-car crash Thursday morning on eastbound State Route 60, just east of Valley Way, California Highway Patrol officers said.

Four people were injured in the collision, and as of 9 a.m., at least two lanes of traffic, the HOV lane and #1 lane, remained closed in a SigAlert. At least one vehicle was overturned as a result of the crash, and tow vehicles were still reaching the scene to clear disabled cars from the roadway.

Shortly before 8 a.m., multiple cars collided for reasons that are still being investigated, shutting down several lanes of the eastbound 60.

Four people in four separate vehicles were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. One person was freed through extrication by Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.
