The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 12:05 p.m., authorities responded to the 7200 block of Abalone Way in Wendell for a report of shots fired into a car.

The occupied car was hit by gunfire while outside a home.

There are no reports of injuries.

An investigation is underway, and deputies are still on scene.

There are currently no suspects in custody.
