The city of Athens says a car crashed into a Marco’s Pizza located at 22099 US Highway 72 E.  

The city says Athens Fire and Athens Police received the call about 11:44 a.m. Thursday.

According to Athens Police Chief Anthony Presnell, the driver’s foot slipped off the brake pedal and onto the accelerator. The car then crashed into the front of the business.

The city says no one was injured.
