
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a man they say has burglarized several cars.
On May 23, officers were patrolling near Horizon Lake Drive when they noticed a suspicious vehicle.
According to the affidavit, the vehicle was connected to multiple auto burglaries throughout the city.
When police approached the vehicle, it sped to evade arrest.
Police say that the lone suspect in the car, Cleveland Bobo, then exited and began to flee.
Officers say that Bobo had been convicted of multiple felonies including burglary of a motor vehicle and reckless endangerment.
In 2013, Bobo was sentenced to four years in prison following his burglary conviction.
Bobo was taken into police custody and is now facing additional charges for theft of property, burglary of a vehicle, and evading arrest.
