NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A woman on a bicycle was struck and killed by a car Friday (May 24) morning, according to the NOPD.

Police say it happened around 5:09 a.m. near the intersection of Gentilly and Spain Street.

The driver remained on the scene, police say.
