LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Residents of Eaton, Ingham, and Clinton counties now have a chance to share their opinions on how their community can help support them with health-related issues.
The goal of the survey is to address the community’s needs and priorities and to learn what residents need help with.
In past years, the survey revealed community members struggling with substance use, specifically opioids. The Barry Eaton District Health Department said this survey paved the way for programming and support related to substance abuse and opioids.
“We think it’s really important that everyone has their voice heard and that the people in the community are experts of their own health,” said Emily Smale, communications specialist with the health department. “This will benefit everyone. When everyone in the community is healthy, it benefits us all. By filling out this survey, you’re giving us that vital information that we need from the community to help address some of these issues.”
The survey is distributed to residents every three years, but there is only a week left to complete the survey for 2024.
Anyone interested in filling out the survey can visit Healthy! Capital Counties’ website.
If you are not able to fill out the survey online, it is also available in a paper copy form at each of the county offices.
