GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Prisma Health recently released a statement providing an update on their negotiations with UnitedHealthcare insurance company.
Prisma providers have been out-of-network for UnitedHealthcare (UHC) customers since the first of the year after failed negotiations between the two companies.
On Friday, Prisma Health confirmed that they are still “actively engaging in discussions” with UHC but added that the companies’ latest proposal didn’t address rising costs.
Prisma Health originally asked for a 24-percent price hike to cover “extraordinary inflationary costs,” an amount UHC called “outlandish.”
