PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police say they’ve arrested two men who detectives believe are responsible for killing 26-year-old Jose De Jesus Loeza.
Saturday, police arrested 40-year-old Jose Lomeli and his brother, 35-year-old Robert Lomeli, for their alleged role in Loeza’s murder. Police did not specify how the brothers were tied to the case. Both were booked in the Maricopa County Jail to await potential felony charges by the County Attorney.
On April 1, around 6:30 a.m., Phoenix police responded to reports of arson near 55th Avenue and Osborn Road. As officers arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle on fire in a canal. Once firefighters extinguished the flames, authorities found Loeza inside, and he was pronounced dead. The Phoenix Police Dive team then removed the vehicle from the canal.
