Local food pantry helps out over long holiday weekend

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A local organization is working toward making sure no one goes hungry.

“With God’s Grace” rolled up their sleeves to help give back to families in need on Saturday, May 25. They hosted a mobile food pantry to make sure everyone has something to eat over the holiday weekend.

It was at the Warehouse Mobile on Springfield Street in Dayton. Dozens of volunteers were there to help and serve hundreds of people.

The executive director of With God’s Grace, Nicole Adkins, says the goal is to take the burden off of families.

“A lot of families in the community struggle around this time, during the holiday, and we just want to make sure everyone has a nice holiday meal to spend this weekend with their families,” said Adkins.

With God’s Grace is always looking for volunteers. They have food pantries available at the Warehouse Mobile three times each month.
