Fans at Hart Plaza have been ordered to leave the Movement electronic music festival as severe weather hit downtown Detroit.
Organizers issued the alert at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday, as thousands gathered for the event’s second day.
“We are currently experiencing severe storms and high winds at Hart Plaza,” read the alert. “All attendees must evacuate immediately. Please head to the nearest exit point.”
Organizers said they’re monitoring the weather and will provide updates this evening. Movement has been scheduled to close out its Sunday night bill with performers including actor Idris Elba and techno star Richie Hawtin.
