Stefanos Tsitsipas knocked out home favourite Dominic Thiem to reach the second round of the Vienna Open with a straight-sets win on Tuesday. The Greek fourth seed triumphed 7-6(5) 6-4 to end any hopes of a run on home soil for Austria’s Thiem. Tsitsipas saved all three of the break points he faced in the match and he will face Tomas Machac next.
